Meru National Park The park has a wide range of wild animals including the African Bush Elephant,Masai Lion, African Leopard, Tanzanian Cheetah, Eastern Black rhinoceros, southern White Rhinoceros, grevy’s Zebra Hippopotamus. Meru was one of the two areas in which conservationists George Adamson and Joy Adamson raised Elsa the Lioness made famous in the best selling book and award winning movie, “Born Free”. Elsa the Lioness is buried in this park and part of Joy’s ashes were scattered on her grave site. Aside from the beautiful scenery and abundant wildlife, Tourist attractions include the once home of George and Joy Adamson, Adamson’s Falls, views of Mount Kenya , and the Tana River.

Day 1: Fly to Elsa’s Kopje

Pick up from your city hotel or incoming flight. Take a short flight (approximately 40 minutes) from Wilson Airport to Meru National Airport Airstrip. You will be met by the camp’s guide, take a game drive en route to the camp. Elsa’s Kopje Unashamedly romantic and beautifully styled boutique hotel, sculpted into Mughwango Hill, above the site of George Adamson’s original camp where he raised and released orphan lions, long before conservation became fashionable. Each cottage is crafted around the rocks, with a large bedroom, open sitting room, veranda and spacious bathroom, each with breath taking views. In afternoon step in the park in search of the big game such as; Elephants, Grevy’s Zebras, Elands, Waterbucks, Cheetahs, Leopards, Reticulated Giraffes, Hippos and Buffalos amongst other . Day 2: Elsa’S Kopje

Enjoy a full day in Meru National Park. After breakfast engage in a morning game drive after which you return to the lodge for a free mid-morning enjoy the cool waters in the heat of the day in the infinity pool perched on the side of the hill, or Take your rod and settle on the palm lined banks of one of Meru’s many rivers for fishing . In the afternoon enjoy an extensive afternoon drive in this magnificent that gives you an opportunity to connect with mother nature. Private romantic dinners or dinner outside with candle lit tables. Day 3: Elsa’s Kopje

Early morning game drive with a bush breakfast take a moment to sit back , enjoy the spectacular views, the smells, the colours , and the gentle breeze as you enjoy a full breakfast in the middle of the plains surrounded by wildlife. En route drive back to the lodge and either relax in your suite or go for guided walks one of the most popular walk is a climb up to the very top of Mughwago Hill enjoying a 360 degrees view from snow-capped Mt. Kenya in the west to the vast Meru Plains to the East this will be at an additional fee. In the afternoon enjoy game drives and end up the safari with a sundowner (optional), watch the spectacular sunset. Private romantic dinner or dinner outside with candle lit tables overnight at the Lodge.

Day 4: Elsa’s Kopje to Nairobi

After breakfast, transfer to airstrip to catch your flight back to Nairobi. You will arrive mid-morning, this provides you with an opportunity to connect to your onward flight or other travel services.
