Day 1

Arrival. Pickup  from JKIA. Check in to the Karen Blixen Garden Hotel. After lunch visit the Giraffe Centre in the heart of Karen. Take time to feed the Giraffes and see the remarkable work the wildlife conservationist are doing for the tallest mammal in the world.

Day 2

Lake Naivasha. At 9AM depart for a 2 hour by road trip to the Eastern Rift Valley. Visit Lake Naivasha enjoy a boat ride in the hippo infested lake, take a hike in the river gorge at Hell’s Gate. In the evening take a maasai guided walk among the grazing hippos or watch them from the comfort of the hotel terrace.

Day 3

Lake Nakuru. On this day depart to Lake Nakuru (1.5 hour drive), the pink lake of the Rift Valley. The lake has a large population of the Pink Flamingo and offers a spectacular experience for bird watchers with over 300 species of birds all year round. Here you can find the endangered African Rhino, Buffalo, Jackals and the cheeky baboon aching to steal some treats from the visitors. Take a nature walk and enjoy dinner at the park.

Day 4

Maasai mara. Day4: Early morning take a safari drive around the lake before embarking on a 4.5 hours into the wildlife gem that is the Maasai Mara. Here enjoy an evening safari drive for the most spectacular mosaic of animals spread over the Savannah. The park has the highest chance of catching the predators on a hunt, or a hyena squabble over a carcass left by the Lions.

Day 5

Maasai mara. Day 5: One of the most spectacular experiences is a quiet balloon ride over the Savannah, here you have a chance of seeing the gentle elephants, the temperamental Buffaloes, the greedy Hyenas, Savage Lions and the sprinting gazelles. Take a trip to the famous Mara river where the crocodiles await an easy prey drinking from the Mara’s banks.

Day 5

Nairobi. Day6: Take the 5 hour 4×4 trip back to Nairobi. Stop by the numerous curios shops to buy some mementos/souvenirs. Check into a city hotel, enjoy dinner and reminisce on the trip that was as you await your Airport drop-off for your onward travel.
